This problem even though unique to me it is not an isolated case and any one with a License can be affected by this case. You are encouraged to become involved follow the link's in this Web Site and send E-mail ( real cheap ) send faxes, make phone call's, send letters to the editors of nursing magazines and to the Nursing organizations that you belong to ask them to be involved ensuring that this type of blatant punishment does not go unchecked after all it might be you the next one to suffer even if it was not you the one is suspected of an indiscretion or error perhaps, your spouse or for that matter a coworker in the same unit Guilt by association.
Jose was not working when this issue came up. Not only this but this were not Jose's patients, they were never assigned to him or had he worked with them.
Just when is it that a Nurse can be a private citizen and not have their lives controlled by a license.? Do we as nurses give up any of our other rights as citizens once we get a license..?
I became a Nurse to help and heal the suffering of our fellow human beings not to have my life controlled by the Government.
At the present time my License to practice Nursing has been under " EMERGENCY SUSPENSION" "for the past 18 months " and it is still expected to be suspended for an indefinite period of time until the AHCA ( Agency for Health Care Administration ) is good an ready to finish their investigations and preparations for trial. Just how many of us can afford not to work for any amount of time specially this long under an " Emergency Order " and just what is an " Administrative Emergency" is there a definition of this on the Nurse Practice act.?

Who s it that governs the Nurses licenses. The Department of Professional Regulations or the Agency for Health Care Administration.
Every time that I have sent money to the state it has been to the DPR and they are the ones that have issued my license so how is it that it is the AHCA the one that has suspended my license.?
2. There are no criminal charges that have been brought against me in all of this month's by this is further proof that I have done nothing wrong .
One of the first things that would of happened if I had committed a crime would of been for me to have been charged with a crime and prosecuted for the same the only thing that I'm being sued for right now is by Charter Hospital. According to their representatives they are only doing this because in case that a law suit against them by the patients, they wold have to " show " that they did something about it. Never you mind that this is a classic case of closing the barn door after the horse is gone.
The ( AHCA ) has tried to charge me with every possible " Administrative " charge that they can so as to have something stick regardless of how senseless or trivial and slight relation might be.
3. The ( AHCA) even though it has the power to suspend the license or censure the Charter Hospital has not done so in any manner what so ever. 2 3
Even though the AHCA knows the whole story they have taken sides in this matter and not shown impartiality by suspending the licenses of both parties involved just one the one that stuck up for the patients and taxpayer's....perhaps this had something to do with it. ( please click here ). Is this something that should be tolerated.? Is it ethical.? When this happens who do you complain about it.
Don't you think that at least an Emergency review of the record's keeping practices of this Negligent Hospital should have been initiated.?
4. As soon as you commit any mistake regardless of issue you can expect the powers to be to utilize bullying tactics with high cost to the Nurse in order to have their way.
Jose was ordered to " take an Immediate Physical and Mental Examination ". This seems to be a procedure to intimidate and a tool to use against the Nurses Just in case. You see if the Nurse goes for a mental examination, anything can be used against that nurse since it is ordered and can be used in court ( regardless of your privacy as a patient ). Just how many of us can afford all of this thing's since not only do they demand it but also expect for you to pay for it. Then if legislation was made that this is paid by the Agency would it not be a strike against you the simple fact that you had been ordered to take the examination's.....will the thinking of this " Examiner's " not be already prejudiced by the fact that ( " If the Agency had to go to the point of ordering something like this then there must be something to it..?? ).

Granted that when I first did the issue was not well defined ( with documentation & we all know how nurses love documentation ) so perhaps it was just a matter of….Ahhh some one belly aching! I hoe that you can sway them as to the true meaning behind my pangs of pain.This is the part that
