I must advise the readers of this page as to the fact that this is not my first brush with the News Media both in television and Newspaper or Magazine's. Including the ones mentioned on this Web site. The reason's for it has been my activities as an activist for the Veteran's and POW/MIA Issue along with other incidents of significance that if I start to talk about it will only confuse the present issue.....but if you want to see some of this semi-unrelated coverage Click here now.
The problem with the story as reported by the Television stations is not that bad since they did report the Story as a Human Interest story to begin with and they did respect my wish to be kept as an anonymous source and they also kept their word in regards as to the blurring of the patients name and specific cases.
THEIR 1ST BIG SCREW UP....as I see it was making me believe that the information would be blurred ...as it was being taped...!! and since I'm not a journalist or a camera man I took it upon their integrity as to the fact that this was being done. As stated on the beginning I have dealt with the News folk's before and also follow news threads and had not heard anything regarding any improprieties about any of the News stations or their Journalist's......I guess that I should add that plenty of times when they covered some of my activities I did not specifically liked their coverage in totality but I can not truly say that they totally misrepresented me at any other time.
THEIR 2ND BIG SCREW UP...was contacting those patient's for the extra kicker on the news coverage this is the one and only point that could be considered as violation of patients confidentiality...It is understood that as long as the reporting entity is not a tabloid or one of the many scandalous and weird dust or dirt kicking talk shows .. then their journalistic profession does give them the right to certain access of information in order to validate their stories.
It should also be noted that such integrity has been demonstrated plenty a time by reporter's being thrown in jail in contempt of court by no revealing their source.
WHAT I REALLY CONDEMN THEM ALL FOR.

One of the thing's that I will never forgive any of the news stations is part of an unrelated incident but I will mention it here as commentary.
I do not forgive them for
the time that I spent 25 day's on a Bamboo cage on a hunger strike for our POW's / MIA's and this cause only got about 12 seconds of News coverage while at the same time nearly four minutes to six were dedicated to the discussion of Princes DI having Breakfast and a detailed discussion as to the differences between Jam, Jelly, Marmalade or Preserves of all thing's that precious time could of been used to depict the suffering of our POW's / MIA's it is that kind of reporting that is still keeping them away from where they belong in US Soil...!! Damn it..!!Sorry but I just had to get this off my chest since as a Veteran this issue is very special to me as I feel it should be for every person that lives in America!!.....if you do care about our service men just go to the link below there is 30 Megabytes of information and way's that you could help along with plenty of link's....there I'm off my soap box now..... so back to the Issue at hand.
