Thank you for contacting the Medicare office. This is to let you know your concern was sent to the Complaint Department for handling. Sometimes there are billing errors, processing errors, or misunderstandings that can occur. The provider may also be at fault. If the provider is at fault, we may request money back. We may also monitor that provider, or refer them to another area for closer review. We will research your concern and decide the best action to take.
We may need to call or write you for more information. Sometimes we need to clarify the concern. Research may take up to 18O days. If we complete our research earlier, we will contact the Medicare beneficiary.
Please note that the Privacy Act of 1974 states that any information about a beneficiary and/or their claim can only be released to that person or their legal representative. Therefore, unless you are the legal representative, the results of our research will be sent to the Medicare beneficiary. If you are the legal representative, the results of our research will be sent to you.
Together we will be able to protect the Medicare Program. If you have other information that may be helpful, please let us know.

The classic run around and getting the wires crossed even though my letter was specific the contents of the letter seem to be the form letter of some overworked public servant that is not allowed to sign its name becoming that faceless part of " the System " that is hurting us all so deeply.
