The Cole Mental Health Consumer Resource Center is the 1st of its kind Resource Center in the nation.
We supply resources on all psychiatric disorders including: medications, diagnosis & treatment, housing, disability, insurance, ADA, welfare programs, halfway houses, day programs, and we sell self-help books and much more.We are located at McLean Hospital, a distinguished private psychiatric hospital in Belmont, Mass. The Center is run by mental health consumers who are now healthy and stabilized and who have been through the mental health system and have lots of first hand experience. We also provide consumer initiated training programs for mental health professionals, We consult with industryand present training programs on the appropriate and humane handling of mental illness in the workplace. We conduct anti-stigma campaigns throughout the New England area, We lobby for parity in healthcare coverage for mental illness.We are a non-profit organization and accept donations.
